Why Sudoku

Sudoku, done properly.

Hints that teach

A hint names the technique, explains the reasoning for that exact cell and highlights the cells involved, with a link to its lesson.

Notes and colours

Pencil marks with auto-remove and auto-fill, six colour markers, number-first input, and undo and redo that survive a restart.

Medals and achievements

Monthly medals, 26 achievements and statistics for every level, with a score that rewards a flawless, hint-free solve.

Four looks

System, light, dark and a warm sepia that feels like a newspaper puzzle, with five accent colours, on phones and tablets.

Ads that wait their turn

Ads never interrupt a puzzle, and a full-screen ad shows only after every third finished game. The game stays playable without ever watching one.

Made for everyone

Every cell is read out by screen readers, animations follow your reduce-motion setting, and layouts are tested at large text sizes.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is Sudoku free?

Yes. Sudoku is free to play, and ads pay for it. There are no purchases, and every feature works without watching an ad.

Do ads interrupt a puzzle?

No. Ads never appear over the board or in the middle of a game. A full-screen ad shows only after every third finished game.

How are the levels graded?

By the hardest technique a puzzle needs, worked out by a human-style solver, not just by how many clues it has. Easy needs only singles; Extreme needs chains or trial and error.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Every mode works without internet. Ads only show when you're connected.

Can I move my progress to a new phone?

Yes. Your phone's own backup includes it, or use Settings › Backup & restore to make a code and enter it on the new device.

Which devices are supported?

Android 7.0 and newer, and iPhone and iPad with iOS 15 or newer.
